Acid Systems has started a beta with ACDSee™ application which we can view and organize the photos. Acid Systems designed the archicture of ACDSee™ start-over, for the Mac platform which has a Leopard-compatible interface, hard disk or provide direct access to devices connected to the camera, and features a flexible image management and catalog makes.
The application can copy, tag, rate the images from external window or from external devices and can look the image EXIF or file information.
Also the application’s file format feature is very rich. It supports almost all type of formats like RAW, PNG, TIFF, GIF. To support to view RAW format it depends on your firmware version.
ACDSee™ 1.0 Beta supports Mac OS X 10.5 and later versions. You can only use the application by registering your e-mail until february 2010.
I thing Acid Systems made a mistake to bring ACDSee™ on MAC delayed. I don’t think, people use ACDSee™ while Picasa already here. But we will see.
